Betsy you already know that I love your work but you deserve to hear it a million times over! You truly are my hero! I look at what you have done with your passion and I just can’t help but be excited for you. When you did our pictures a little over 2 years ago you rekindled a spark of passion in me with your love for photography. You made our experience so awesome and it was impossible for both me and Curtis to not see that you truly love what you do! You captured a truly good memory that we still look back on. There is no way we could ever get from Sears, Walmart, or Penny’s what we got that day. What’s more is that the name Essence Photography says exactly what you do in one word… you capture the Essence of what you are shooting. Your heart shines when you work and I am so blessed to have found a photographer who has a true passion for what they do and who I am excited to go back to time and time again. So many memories can be captured in a single shot. Losing both my parents and not having many pictures of them, I now will step in front of a camera. Before I would run away, stand in the back of a a group shot. Since I have so few pictures of my parents I don’t want to leave my childern without some incredible family pictures. Having a few medical scares in the past few years I would love to capture this time when we are enjoying life. I love seeing your photos on FB – you have a very pure eye and your photos look amazing. We are a family of four. First of all, we have never had photos done professioanally. Secondly, we couldn’t afford to have them done due to our debts from the economy and me being laid off to care for our son before and after his heart surgery. He was born with a rare heart defect 1 month after we finished building our home. Being laid off and my husbands construction business going downhill due to the economy almost kept us from keeping the home we built with our own hands. Now the kids are the perfect ages to capture that special time but still the finances are just not there. My husband and I are both 34 and our children are 3 and 8 years old.
